Days after resigning as governor of Telangana, Tamilisai Soundararjan has joined the BJP again

Former Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan rejoined the BJP in a significant event attended by Tamil Nadu BJP President K Annamalai. Annamalai highlighted the criticism faced by Soundararajan from Left parties and the DMK for her return to the BJP after serving as Governor. He emphasized that only in the BJP do individuals willingly leave high offices to serve the public as ordinary citizens, showcasing their commitment to public service over political positions.

Annamalai lauded Soundararajan's performance as Governor, noting her decision to rejoin the BJP as a testament to her dedication to the party and her desire to contribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership for a third consecutive term.

Soundararajan, a 62-year-old gynecologist, had previously been associated with the BJP for over two decades before resigning from the party to assume the role of Telangana Governor in 2019. Following her tenure as Governor, she later served as Lt Governor of Puducherry in 2021. Her return to the BJP underscores her enduring commitment to the party's values and objectives.
