Delhi has cloudy skies and blustery winds today, with temperatures expected to increase



According to the Regional Meteorological Centre, Delhi is expected to experience a partly cloudy sky with gusty winds throughout the day. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded were 35 and 20 degrees Celsius, respectively.

The city has been observing a gradual increase in temperatures over the past few days, and the weather office anticipates further warming in April.

Yesterday, Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 35.2 degrees Celsius, which was three notches above the season's average. On Friday, it experienced the warmest day of the year so far, with a maximum temperature of 37.8 degrees Celsius, five notches above average. Similarly, on Wednesday, the maximum temperature reached 37 degrees Celsius.

In its latest bulletin, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted a rise in maximum temperatures by 2-3 degrees Celsius across many parts of south peninsular India over the next 5 days.

IMD also warned of heatwave conditions in isolated pockets over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha (from March 30th to April 1st), North Interior Karnataka (on March 30th and 31st), Telangana (from March 31st to April 3rd), and Rayalaseema (from April 1st to 3rd).

Furthermore, warm night conditions are expected in isolated pockets over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, and Marathwada from March 30th to April 1st, as per the IMD advisory.
