Elisha Yadav, a YouTuber, is granted bail in the matter of the snake venom

Controversial YouTuber Siddharth Yadava, popularly known as Elvish Yadav, found himself embroiled in legal trouble when he was arrested by the Noida Police on March 17 in connection with an investigation into the suspected use of snake venom as a recreational drug at a party held four months ago. However, on Friday, a court in Gautam Buddh Nagar granted bail to Yadav.

The Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Jaihind Kumar Singh presided over the court proceedings and approved Yadav's bail request. Yadav, who gained fame as a winner of the reality show Bigg Boss OTT, had been remanded to judicial custody for 14 days after his arrest on March 17 and subsequent presentation before a special court in Surajpur.

The charges against Yadav include violations of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, the Wildlife Protection Act, and the Indian Penal Code. Furthermore, on March 20, Noida Police arrested two associates of Yadav, identified as Ishwar and Vinay Yadav, as part of the ongoing investigation into the suspected drugs case. Both were charged with similar offenses related to drug consumption, organizing such events, and trafficking of wildlife species.

Elvish Yadav was among six individuals named in an FIR lodged at Noida's Sector 49 Police Station on November 3 of the previous year. While the other five accused, identified as snake charmers, were arrested in November, they are currently out on bail. Despite the allegations, Yadav has vehemently denied his involvement in the case.

It's worth noting that BJP leader Maneka Gandhi had previously accused Yadav of illegally selling snake venom and urged for his arrest. In November of the previous year, Yadav was briefly detained by Rajasthan Police in Kota for questioning while traveling with his friends.
