"Every party wants me to support it," Chirag Paswan said during a rally in Bihar

During a rally in the Sahebganj assembly segment, former Lok Janshakti Party president Chirag Paswan hinted at the significant interest various political entities hold in aligning with him, suggesting his potential inclination towards the side offering favorable terms. Paswan, a long-time ally of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), has recently garnered attention from the 'Mahagathbandhan', the opposition coalition in Bihar.

In his address, Paswan underscored his allegiance solely to the people of Bihar, amidst speculations surrounding his affiliations. He emphasized that his unwavering commitment to Bihar's welfare, encapsulated in his "Bihar first Bihari first" ideology, has garnered admiration from across the political spectrum.

Highlighting the allure he holds for different parties and coalitions, Paswan asserted that his vision resonates with the populace, transcending party lines. He refrained from overtly aligning himself with any specific political faction, opting instead to underscore his dedication to Bihar's interests.

Paswan's rally, strategically conducted in the Vaishali Lok Sabha constituency, symbolizes his endeavor to stake a claim to his late father's political legacy. Despite not explicitly mentioning certain figures within the NDA, such as Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Union Minister Pashupati Kumar Paras, Paswan alluded to the challenges he has encountered, portraying resilience against attempts to undermine him.

The ongoing political drama surrounding Paswan's potential alignments has elicited reactions from various quarters. While Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP) remains steadfast in its claim to Hajipur, the seat represented by Paras, the 'Mahagathbandhan' appears willing to extend significant concessions to Paswan, possibly entailing more than six electoral seats.

The dynamic within the NDA further complicates the situation, as the BJP navigates the delicate balance between Paswan and Paras, both integral figures within the LJP. The recent shift in allegiance of LJP MP Veena Devi back to Paswan's camp adds another layer of complexity to the unfolding political saga.

However, despite the mounting speculation, Paswan remains tight-lipped about his intentions, opting to maintain ambiguity regarding his future political course. When pressed for details at the airport following the rally, Paswan reiterated his primary focus on Bihar's welfare, promising to reveal further details regarding pre-poll arrangements in due time.
