Father of Budaun murderer: I regret children's deaths more than my son's encounter

The relatives of Sajid, the accused in the tragic incident of killing two children in Budaun, expressed deep remorse over the loss of innocent lives. Both the father and uncle of Sajid conveyed their profound regret, emphasizing that they felt more sorrow for the death of the two children than for the encounter of their own son.

During their interrogation, Sajid's father lamented the unfortunate turn of events, stating that he does not mourn the death of Sajid as much as he grieves for the loss of the two young boys. He recounted that Sajid was at home until after 7 pm on the day of the incident, having received a call before stepping out.

Describing Sajid's demeanor, his uncle characterized him as extremely aggressive and reserved, even within the family circle.

The tragic incident unfolded when Sajid, who had recently established a barber shop in the vicinity, entered the house and launched a vicious attack on three brothers aged 12, 8, and 10. While the two elder brothers succumbed to the assault, the third brother sustained injuries but survived.

According to the FIR filed by the children's father, Sajid and his brother Javed visited the house around 7 pm under the pretext of needing money. Subsequently, they lured the children to the roof of the house and brutally attacked them with a sharp knife. The mother witnessed the blood-soaked clothes of the accused as they descended from the roof after the heinous act.

The FIR further detailed the chilling encounter, indicating that upon returning with the money, the mother encountered the accused duo, who callously declared that they had completed their task for the day. The assailants also assaulted the third son who had gone upstairs for water.

Authorities are actively pursuing Javed while probing the motives behind the attack.
