Following surgery, Kate, Princess of Wales, sends out her first message

Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge and wife of Prince William expressed gratitude to the public on Sunday for their unwavering support during her convalescence, marking her first public communication since undergoing abdominal surgery in January. She shared a heartwarming image captured by her husband, Prince William, featuring herself alongside their three children, Princes George and Louis, and Princess Charlotte.

In a message conveyed through a post on X, Kate, aged 42, extended her appreciation for the kind wishes and continued encouragement received over the past two months. She also extended warm Mother's Day greetings to all.

The photograph, taken earlier in the week at their residence in Windsor, provided a glimpse into their familial bond and Kate's current well-being, as per her office at Kensington Palace.

Following her surgical procedure for a non-malignant yet unspecified ailment, Kate underwent a two-week hospitalization in January. Since then, she has refrained from public appearances, with Kensington Palace indicating that her return to official duties is unlikely until after Easter, which falls later this month.

Amid her absence, social media platforms have been abuzz with conjectures and speculations regarding Kate's health status, prompting her office to emphasize its commitment to offering only significant updates concerning her recovery.

Notably, Kate's surgery coincided with the announcement of King Charles's hospitalization for treatment related to an enlarged prostate. During his medical evaluation, physicians identified an undisclosed type of cancer, necessitating a postponement of his public engagements while he undergoes therapy. Despite his health challenges, the monarch has been observed fulfilling some of his responsibilities as the head of state.
