Former Pakistani cricket player Javed Miandad gives Dawood Ibrahim credit, saying he did a lot for Muslims

During an interview on Pakistani journalist Hassan Nisar's YouTube channel, former Pakistani cricketer Javed Miandad expressed admiration for his relative Dawood Ibrahim, a controversial figure known for his involvement in organized crime. Miandad highlighted the connection between their families, as his son is married to Dawood's daughter, Mahrukh. Reflecting on their longstanding acquaintance, Miandad emphasized the esteem he holds for Dawood, acknowledging his contributions to the Muslim community. He mentioned that his daughter-in-law possesses a strong educational background, having studied at both a convent and university.

The union between Miandad's son and Dawood's daughter took place in 2005 in Dubai, amidst stringent security measures. Despite Dawood's notoriety as a wanted terrorist in India, infamous for orchestrating the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts which resulted in numerous casualties, Miandad spoke warmly of him. Dawood remains at large, heading the feared criminal organization known as D-company, which operates primarily in India. He is also a subject of interest for Interpol due to his involvement in organized crime and counterfeiting.

In recent developments, reports emerged in December of Dawood's hospitalization in Karachi, Pakistan, allegedly due to severe health complications. Speculations circulated on social media suggesting foul play, but these reports remained unverified.
