Despite Dawood's notoriety as a wanted terrorist in India, infamous for orchestrating the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts which resulted in numerous casualties, Miandad spoke warmly of him. Dawood remains at large, heading the feared criminal organization known as D-company, which operates primarily in India. He is also a subject of interest for Interpol due to his involvement in organized crime and counterfeiting.
