In Madhya Pradesh, Rahul Gandhi was welcomed with potatoes and Jai Shri Ram slogans

During his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Madhya Pradesh, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi encountered a lively reception from BJP workers who enthusiastically chanted slogans of 'Modi, Modi' and 'Jai Shri Ram' as his convoy made its way through Sarangpur.

A viral video captured the moment when BJP supporters approached Rahul Gandhi, presenting him with potatoes while jestingly requesting gold in return, reminiscent of a past incident from the 2017 Gujarat election campaign where a video purportedly showed Rahul Gandhi promising to transform potatoes into gold, later revealed to be edited.

In the video, Rahul Gandhi can be seen disembarking from his car to graciously accept the potatoes from the BJP workers, exchanging smiles and handshakes before returning to his vehicle. Amidst the ongoing sloganeering, Rahul Gandhi also reciprocated with a playful flying kiss to the enthusiastic BJP supporters.

The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, which commenced its journey from strife-torn Manipur on January 14, marked its entry into Madhya Pradesh's Morena district on March 2, after traversing through Rajasthan's Dholpur district. For its expedition, the yatra is slated to cover various districts including Morena, Gwalior, Guna, Rajgarh, Shajapur, Ujjain, Dhar, and Ratlam till March 6, before resuming its route through Rajasthan.

Scheduled to conclude in Mumbai later this month, the yatra's extensive itinerary spans approximately 6,700 kilometers, traversing 15 states to engage with the common populace along the way and promote the message of 'nyay' (justice).
