In a money laundering investigation, the Enforcement Directorate raids a close aide of Lalu Yadav

On Saturday, the Enforcement Directorate conducted raids at approximately six locations in Bihar as part of an investigation into a money laundering case linked to sand mining tycoon Subhash Yadav. He is known to have affiliations with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and is reportedly a close associate of the party's leader, Lalu Prasad Yadav.

According to sources familiar with the matter, some of the targeted locations are believed to be hideouts frequently used by Subhash Yadav. Among the raided places, two are situated in Danapur, on the outskirts of Patna.

Subhash Yadav contested the elections from the Chhatra Lok Sabha constituency in Jharkhand on an RJD ticket back in 2019. Notably, he recently attended the 'Jan Vishwas Maha Rally' organized by the Mahagathbandhan at the Gandhi Maidan in Patna on March 3rd.
