Office said Michelle Obama 'will not be running' for US President

According to a report by NBC News, the office of former First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama, has clarified that she has no plans to run for President in the upcoming 2024 elections.

Crystal Carson, the director of communications for Michelle Obama's office, reiterated that Mrs. Obama has consistently expressed her lack of interest in pursuing a presidential candidacy. Carson emphasized that Michelle Obama fully supports President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in their re-election campaign.

Moreover, Michelle Obama's aides referenced her previous statements, including a conversation with Oprah Winfrey from last year, to underscore her disinterest in seeking political office. During the Netflix special, Obama candidly discussed the challenges of politics and emphasized that it is not a path she feels called to pursue.

In a 2022 interview with BBC, Michelle Obama reiterated her stance, expressing her aversion to questions about a potential presidential run. She emphasized her lack of inclination towards political aspirations.

Despite speculation and a recent poll suggesting her as a leading choice among Democratic voters to replace President Biden, Michelle Obama remains steadfast in her decision not to enter the presidential race.

The 2024 presidential election is anticipated to feature a possible rematch between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.
