Rajnath Singh, a union minister, will lead the BJP's electoral manifesto committee



The BJP has announced its manifesto committee for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, with Union Minister Rajnath Singh appointed as the head of the committee. Union Ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Piyush Goyal have been named as the convenor and co-convenor, respectively.

The 27-member committee includes prominent leaders such as the recently elected Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Vishnu Deo Sai, and the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is also a member of the committee.

Other notable members of the committee include Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw, Dharmendra Pradhan, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Rajeev Chandrashekhar, Kiren Rijiju, and Smriti Irani.

Additionally, former chief ministers Vasundhara Raje and Shivraj Singh Chouhan, along with Ravi Shankar Prasad, are among the members appointed by the BJP.

The Lok Sabha elections are scheduled to be held in seven phases from April 19 to June 1, with the results set to be declared on June 4.
