Regarding his split from the NDA in 2018, Chandrababu Naidu said India Today, It's just politics, nothing personal

In an exclusive interview with India Today TV, Chandrababu Naidu expounded on the circumstances leading to the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) departure from the BJP-led NDA in 2018, emphasizing that it stemmed from political disparities rather than personal grievances. Naidu underscored this stance while confirming the emergence of a fundamental understanding of alliance among the TDP, BJP, and Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena.

The forthcoming reintegration of the TDP into the BJP-led NDA marks a significant shift from its earlier stance when Naidu held the position of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister. Speaking from Delhi on Saturday, Naidu expressed the TDP's commitment to collaborative efforts with its allies, clarifying that the party's exit from the NDA in 2018 was solely driven by political disparities.

Naidu further articulated observations on the economic trajectory of Andhra Pradesh, contrasting its experience of wealth depletion with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's emphasis on wealth creation.

Amid ongoing deliberations within the upper echelons of the party, there are discussions underway regarding a joint rally featuring Prime Minister Modi and Chandrababu Naidu in Guntur. However, concrete dates for the event are yet to be finalized.

Simultaneously, Naidu revealed plans for a formal announcement regarding the seat-sharing agreement between the TDP, BJP, and the Jana Sena in the coming days. While specifics regarding individual seat allocations remain pending, the foundational framework of the alliance has been established, with final seat distributions expected to be unveiled imminently.

According to insider sources, the envisaged agreement suggests a proportional allocation of Lok Sabha and Assembly seats among the alliance partners. The Jana Sena and BJP are anticipated to secure approximately eight Lok Sabha seats out of the total 25, while for the Andhra Pradesh assembly, they may vie for between 28 and 32 seats collectively. The remaining assembly seats are slated for allocation to the TDP.

With Andhra Pradesh boasting 25 Lok Sabha and 175 Assembly constituencies, the impending seat-sharing arrangement underscores the strategic realignment and collaborative efforts shaping the political landscape of the region.
