Regarding Rahul Gandhi's "Shakti" statement, PM Modi responds

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sharply criticized the opposition alliance, stating that the battle in the upcoming 2024 elections is between those who want to destroy 'Shakti' (power) and those who revere it. His remarks came in response to Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's recent statement about fighting against a form of power.

Gandhi had asserted during a rally in Mumbai that Prime Minister Modi relies on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for electoral success, implying that the real power lies within these machines and government institutions.

In contrast, Modi emphasized the significance of 'Shakti' in Hinduism, citing the successful Chandrayaan mission as an example of harnessing this power. He accused the opposition of seeking to dismantle 'Shakti', which he interprets as a threat to the nation's strength and integrity.

The Prime Minister's remarks were made during a rally in Telangana's Jagtial, where he expressed his reverence for mothers and daughters, whom he considers embodiments of 'Shakti'. He pledged to defend their security and welfare against any threats posed by the opposition alliance's agenda.

Furthermore, Modi confidently predicted electoral success for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), claiming that they would secure more than 400 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, with counting scheduled for June 4th. This assertion reflects his optimism and determination to lead his party and alliance partners to victory in the upcoming polls.
