Sadhguru is on the mend following urgent brain surgery

The Isha Foundation announced that spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev recently faced a "life-threatening" health emergency and underwent brain surgery. The 66-year-old leader experienced multiple bleedings in the brain, leading to a severe headache and necessitating emergency medical intervention.

According to the foundation's statement, Sadhguru had been suffering from a severe headache for the past four weeks, with the condition worsening upon his arrival in Delhi on March 14, 2024. An urgent MRI revealed a massive bleed in the brain, including evidence of chronic bleeding over the previous few weeks and fresh bleeding in the preceding 24-48 hours.

Despite the deteriorating situation, Sadhguru continued with his schedule until March 17, when his neurological status rapidly worsened, accompanied by weakness in the left leg, worsening headache, and recurrent vomiting. He underwent emergency brain surgery within hours of admission to address the bleeding in the skull.

Dr. Vinit Suri, who led the surgery, reported that Sadhguru has been making steady progress, with improvements observed in his brain, body, and vital parameters, which have returned to normal levels.
