Sunita Kejriwal getting ready to take over as chief minister of Delhi: Minister of Union

Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri claimed that Sunita Kejriwal, the wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, is preparing to take over her husband's post following his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate. Puri alleged that Sunita Kejriwal has isolated her colleagues and is positioning herself to assume the chief minister's position, drawing parallels with Rabri Devi's takeover in Bihar when her husband, Lalu Prasad Yadav, was jailed.

Puri's assertion comes after Sunita Kejriwal began addressing press conferences from the same chair her husband used for media interactions. This claim is also supported by Union Minister Anurag Thakur, who suggested that Sunita might follow Rabri Devi's path.

Rabri Devi assumed the role of Bihar Chief Minister in 1997 after Lalu Prasad Yadav was imprisoned in a corruption case. Hardeep Singh Puri criticized Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of involvement in a liquor scam despite his earlier promises to abstain from such activities. Puri highlighted Kejriwal's failure to join the investigation into the alleged scam despite multiple summons from the Enforcement Directorate.

Puri also condemned Kejriwal's association with what he termed the "most corrupt party" despite Kejriwal's earlier promises during the 'Anna Andolan' against corruption. Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on March 21 in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case and is currently in the custody of the central probe agency.
