The party of Chandrababu Naidu claimed that alcohol was given out prior to Jagan Reddy's gathering

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) raised allegations on Sunday, asserting that liquor was purportedly distributed as an enticement to boost attendance at a public gathering led by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in Addanki. A video shared by the TDP depicted individuals seated within a bus, visibly holding liquor bottles, with several seen partaking in consumption.

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), the TDP posed questions regarding the sincerity of attendance at Jagan Mohan Reddy's public assembly, insinuating that the provision of liquor may have influenced participation.

Meanwhile, the ruling party, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), countered these claims by asserting that over 15 lakh individuals attended the event named 'Siddham' (ready). However, TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh alleged the utilization of green mats to obscure the perceived sparse turnout, further noting a delay of up to an hour and a half due to what he described as a "lack of people."

Nara Lokesh emphasized the purportedly "sparse crowd" as indicative of what he termed as the forthcoming conclusion of Jagan Reddy's tenure. In response, YSRCP released a video showcasing a substantial crowd gathered outside the venue of the assembly, dismissing TDP's claims.

The retort from YSRCP characterized the TDP leader as 'Pappu' and emphasized their party's abstention from employing tactics such as utilizing graphics or green mats, labeling them as 'gimmicks.'
