There is 'conflict' between Mahagathbandhan in Bihar and seat-sharing for the Lok Sabha elections

The Mahagathbandhan alliance in Bihar is currently grappling with conflicts over seat-sharing arrangements for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress, and the Left parties are all vying for certain key constituencies, leading to tensions within the coalition.

According to sources, the RJD is set to contest 28 seats, while Congress aims for nine seats, and the Left parties target three seats. However, disagreements have arisen over specific constituencies such as East Champaran, Nawada, Hajipur, Gopalganj, Katihar, and Begusarai.

Notably, Begusarai and Hajipur are significant seats for the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance, given their previous victories in the region. Union Ministers Pashupati Kumar Paras and Giriraj Singh currently represent these constituencies.

To address these conflicts, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav is heading to Delhi to participate in the final seat-sharing discussions with the Congress and Left parties. Yadav expressed confidence in resolving the issues and emphasized the importance of unity to safeguard India's Constitution and defeat hatred.

Yadav also criticized the Central government's track record in Bihar, highlighting the lack of significant development initiatives for the state. He underscored the need for change and expressed optimism about Mahagathbandhan's prospects in the upcoming elections.

However, the alliance recently faced setbacks when three MLAs, two from the RJD and one from Congress, resigned from their parties' primary memberships. This development posed challenges to the coalition's cohesion ahead of the crucial Lok Sabha polls.
