Tomorrow, Arvind Kejriwal will visit Gujarat and kick off the AAP's election campaign

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is set to launch its Lok Sabha election campaign in Gujarat, with party convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal scheduled to visit the state on Friday, March 15. This marks AAP's expansion into Gujarat following its campaigns in Delhi and Punjab.

In Gujarat, AAP will contest two out of the 26 Lok Sabha seats under the seat-sharing agreement with the Opposition-led INDIA bloc. Chaitra Vasava will represent AAP in the Bharuch Lok Sabha seat, while Umesh Makwana will contest from Bhavnagar. These contests are anticipated to be direct battles between AAP and BJP candidates.

AAP plans to commence its election campaign with a focus on door-to-door canvassing, followed by public meetings and roadshows in subsequent phases. The party aims to expand its presence in Gujarat since the Assembly elections held in December 2022, where it won five seats out of 182.

AAP's election slogan in Delhi, "Sansad mein bhi Kejriwal, tabhi Dilli hogi khushhaal" (In Parliament too, Kejriwal, then Delhi will be prosperous), and in Punjab, highlighting Bhagwant Mann's leadership, reflects its campaign strategy to resonate with voters and bolster its presence in Parliament.
