Wife at INDIA rally: Arvind Kejriwal is a lion; you can't keep him locked up for long

Sunita Kejriwal, the wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, delivered a fiery speech at the 'Loktantra Bachao' rally in Delhi, organized by the Opposition INDIA bloc in protest against her husband's arrest by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with a money laundering case linked to the Delhi excise policy. Addressing the crowd, she referred to her husband as a "lion" and expressed confidence that he would not be kept in jail for long.

Sunita Kejriwal highlighted the support her husband has received from the public and questioned the legitimacy of his arrest by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She quoted Arvind Kejriwal's message from jail, where he urged Indians to work towards building a new India and emphasized the need for unity and progress.

Reading from her husband's message, Sunita Kejriwal outlined six guarantees proposed by the INDIA Alliance, including promises related to electricity, education, healthcare, farmers' welfare, and statehood for Delhi. She reiterated Arvind Kejriwal's commitment to fulfilling these guarantees and expressed determination to fight against injustice.

The rally saw the participation of several opposition leaders, including Mehbooba Mufti, Uddhav Thackeray, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav, Sanjay Raut, Sharad Pawar, and others. Sunita Kejriwal thanked the supporters for their solidarity and vowed to end what she referred to as "dictatorship."

In response to the rally, the BJP criticized the opposition leaders, accusing them of corruption and attempting to divert attention from their own wrongdoings. BJP spokespersons Sudhanshu Trivedi, Manoj Tiwari, and Ravi Shankar Prasad denounced the opposition's gathering, questioning the credibility of the leaders involved.

The 'Loktantra Bachao' rally underscored the ongoing political tensions in Delhi and the broader landscape of Indian politics, with both the ruling BJP and opposition parties engaging in a war of words amidst significant political developments.
