YouTuber Elvish Yadav was detained in Noida for a case involving snake venom

YouTuber Elvish Yadav found himself in legal trouble as Noida Police arrested him on Sunday in connection with an alleged incident involving the provision of snake venom at a suspected rave party in Uttar Pradesh's Noida.

Following his arrest, Noida Police conducted a medical examination of Yadav, and he is scheduled to be presented before the court later for further proceedings.

The allegations against the 26-year-old YouTuber stem from an event purportedly organized by him at a banquet hall in Noida's Sector 51 on November 3 of the previous year. Forensic reports confirmed the presence of snake venom in samples collected from the party venue.

Yadav, along with six others, faces charges under provisions of the Wildlife (Protection) Act and IPC Section 120A (criminal conspiracy). Despite previous questioning sessions, Noida Police did not arrest the former Bigg Boss contestant until Sunday.

The investigation revealed that on November 3, police confiscated nine snakes, including five cobras, from the possession of the accused. Further scrutiny uncovered the absence of venom glands in all nine snakes. Additionally, authorities seized 20 ml of snake venom from the suspects.

Yadav vehemently refuted the allegations, denouncing them as "baseless, fake, and not even 1 percent true."

There have been reports indicating the recreational use of snake venom by some individuals.

In a separate development, a complaint was lodged against Yadav by a People For Animals (PFA) official, alleging threats from the YouTuber. This complaint adds to Yadav's legal woes, which also include another case related to a music video featuring him, where a rare species of snake was reportedly used.

Moreover, on March 9, Yadav and others were charged by police for allegedly assaulting a Delhi-based content creator in Noida. A purported video of the incident has circulated widely on social media, with the complainant alleging that Yadav attempted to cause severe harm and issued threats of violence.
