Agents from the Secret Service fighting with each other to protect Kamala Harris were dismissed

The Secret Service faced a concerning situation when a special agent assigned to Vice President Kamala Harris engaged in a physical altercation with fellow agents near Joint Base Andrews in Washington DC. The incident unfolded before Harris's scheduled arrival at around 9 am.

Prompt action was taken as the agent involved in the altercation was swiftly removed from their duties. Anthony Guglielmi, the chief of communications for the Secret Service, emphasized the agency's commitment to the safety and well-being of its personnel. While medical personnel responded to the scene, the incident did not delay Harris's planned departure.

Although details regarding the altercation were limited due to it being deemed a "medical matter," reports indicate that the agent exhibited aggression and ultimately engaged in a physical fight with another agent. Despite efforts to de-escalate the situation, the altercation escalated, resulting in the agent being subdued and receiving medical attention.

The incident has sparked inquiries into the Secret Service's hiring process and background assessments, particularly concerning previous concerns about the agent's behavior. Vice President Harris was briefed on the situation as the agency continues to address the matter.
