Airports in Jaipur, Nagpur, and Goa receive emails threatening bombs; security is increased

Security measures have been heightened at airports in Jaipur, Kanpur, and Goa after they each received separate bomb threat emails on Monday, officials confirmed.

While authorities suspect the emails to be hoaxes, they are not taking any chances and have initiated thorough search operations. Efforts to trace the sender of the emails are currently underway.

This incident follows similar threats received by multiple airports just two days prior, all of which were ultimately determined to be false alarms.

In response to the latest threat, Dabolim airport in Goa conducted a search operation after receiving the email on their official account. Despite the heightened security measures, flight operations remain unaffected.

Similarly, Jaipur International Airport's Director confirmed receipt of the email and assured that nothing suspicious has been discovered after conducting a search.

Authorities in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur Airport also intensified security measures following the threat.

Following the previous incident on April 26, which saw threats directed at airports including Kolkata and Jaipur, extensive search operations were carried out by various agencies. This effort resulted in the arrest of an individual by the Mumbai Police.
