Australian traveler who was caught urinating in a cup spills it on the flight crew

A 53-year-old passenger has been fined 600 Australian dollars (approximately Rs 33,000) by a court in Australia for urinating in a cup while under the influence of alcohol on an Air New Zealand flight from Auckland to Sydney.

The incident, which occurred in December last year, was reported by a fellow passenger sitting in the same row. According to the complainant, she and her 15-year-old daughter were seated in the aisle and middle seats when the accused passenger, seated by the window, began urinating in a cup after the flight had landed at Sydney Airport.

The complainant reported hearing the unmistakable sound of the passenger urinating in a cup while the plane was waiting at the tarmac for the terminal gate. She described the man as being drunk and noted that he also spilled urine on a flight attendant as he exited the plane.

The Australian Federal Police stated that the passenger was removed from the aircraft because he had urinated in a cup while in his seat.

Air New Zealand, while refraining from commenting on individual incidents, mentioned that it bans between five and 10 customers each month for disruptive behavior, including intoxication.

The accused passenger has been fined 600 Australian dollars for his behavior, highlighting the seriousness with which such actions are treated by authorities and airlines alike.
