BJP MLA from Karnataka: "The house half of Pakistan" A jab at a Congressman starts a fight

Karnataka BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal made a personal attack on Congress leader Dinesh Gundu Rao regarding his remarks questioning the BJP's involvement in the March 1 Rameshwaram Cafe blast. Yatnal, referencing Gundu Rao's marriage to Tabu Rao, a Muslim woman, insinuated that the Congress leader's household is akin to Pakistan.

"There is a Pakistan in Gundu Rao's house, so it's his habit to give anti-national statements," remarked BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal.

Yatnal's comment drew a strong rebuke from Tabu Rao, Gundu Rao's wife, who deemed it as cheap, derogatory, and defamatory. She vehemently asserted her Indian identity, emphasizing that her religious background did not warrant questioning her patriotism.

In her response, Tabu Rao questioned whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief JP Nadda would take disciplinary action against Yatnal, whom she labeled as a "habitual offender." She also tagged the Election Commission of India in her post, suggesting the gravity of the matter.

This is not the first instance of Tabu Rao being targeted by BJP leaders. In the past, she has spoken out about being unfairly targeted by BJP politicians who resort to personal attacks due to their inability to engage with her husband politically. Notably, in 2019, BJP leader Anant Kumar Hegde made disparaging remarks about Dinesh Gundu Rao's marriage to a Muslim woman.
