Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's meeting with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan at his residence in Galaxy Apartments comes in the wake of a recent incident where two individuals opened fire outside Khan's house in Mumbai's Bandra area. Assuring Khan and his family of enhanced security measures, Shinde vowed to crack down on any underworld gang activities in the state, including the Bishnoi gang, whose involvement was claimed by Anmol Bishnoi, brother of incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
Following the incident, Mumbai Police swiftly apprehended two suspects, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, from Gujarat's Kutch district. The accused, hailing from Bihar, allegedly confessed to being hired by Lawrence Bishnoi's gang to carry out the attack on Khan's residence. The Mumbai Police's crime branch is actively investigating the case, with the arrested individuals facing charges under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act.
In the aftermath of the attack, Shinde's reassurance to Khan underscores the government's commitment to ensuring the safety and security of prominent figures in the entertainment industry. As the investigation progresses, authorities remain vigilant to prevent further criminal activities and uphold the rule of law.
