Four Indian men are sentenced to life in prison for the UK murder of an Indian delivery driver



Four Indian-origin men in the UK have been sentenced to a total of 122 years in prison for the brutal murder of a 23-year-old delivery driver, Aurman Singh, who was also of Indian heritage. The attack, which occurred in Shrewsbury, western England, involved the use of various weapons including an axe, a golf club, a wooden stave, and others.

The four convicted individuals, Arshdeep Singh, Jagdeep Singh, Shivdeep Singh, and Manjot Singh, will each serve at least 28 years in prison. Additionally, Sukhmandeep Singh, who provided information to the attackers, received a 10-year prison term for manslaughter.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Bellamy of West Mercia Police, who led the murder investigation, emphasized the dangerous nature of the perpetrators and expressed condolences to Aurman Singh's family. The judge described the attack as a "horrifying brutality" and a "very public execution."

Prosecutors detailed the severe injuries inflicted on Aurman Singh, including skull fractures and stab wounds, resulting in his death at the scene. Aurman Singh's family expressed the profound impact of the tragedy on their lives and thanked the police for their support throughout the investigation.

The sentencing sends a strong message against violent crime and highlights the commitment of law enforcement to pursue justice for victims and their families.
