In the early hours of Sunday, two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle fired multiple rounds outside the residence of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in Mumbai's Bandra area. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident, which took place around 4:51 am.
The perpetrators fired three rounds initially, followed by another four rounds, before swiftly fleeing the scene. Despite the presence of Salman Khan inside his residence at the time of the shooting, he remained unharmed. However, the incident has prompted heightened security measures around the actor's home.
In a troubling development, Anmol Bishnoi, brother of incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, claimed responsibility for the attack in a social media post. Anmol Bishnoi, currently residing in the US, asserted his involvement in the incident, adding an additional layer of complexity to the investigation.
Following the shooting, law enforcement agencies swiftly mobilized, with the crime branch, local police, and forensic teams converging on the scene to conduct a thorough investigation. Forensic experts recovered bullet casings, providing crucial evidence for the ongoing probe.
Acknowledging the gravity of the situation, Mumbai Police Commissioner Raj Tilak Roushan revealed that over 15 specialized teams have been formed to apprehend the perpetrators swiftly.
