In Andhra Pradesh, mother chokes her kids to death, reports to the police

Gangadevi, a woman from Andhra Pradesh, was taken into custody under suspicion of causing the tragic deaths of her seven-year-old son and nine-year-old daughter. Reportedly, she admitted to suffocating her children to death and promptly notified the authorities of her actions. Additionally, she expressed her intention to end her own life.

Prompt response from the Jalahalli police led to Gangadevi's arrest at the scene of the incident.

It's noteworthy that Gangadevi, employed at a private marketing firm, had previously raised concerns about her husband's misconduct towards their children. Consequently, her husband was apprehended in connection with a POCSO case and incarcerated.

Authorities are now in the process of uncovering the underlying motives behind this tragic event and have initiated a thorough investigation.

According to DCP Saidulu Adavath, Gangadevi was grappling with financial difficulties, which greatly distressed her. "We received the distress call around 1 am. Upon arriving at the location, the woman admitted to the crime. Based on this preliminary information, we have filed a First Information Report (FIR)," stated the DCP.
