In Balochistan, Pakistan, a motorbike bomb blast claimed two lives

A motorcycle bomb explosion in Pakistan's Balochistan province resulted in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to five others, including two police officers, as confirmed by a police official on Sunday.

The incident occurred in Khuzdar, situated on the main highway connecting the provincial capital Quetta with the port city of Karachi in neighbouring Sindh province. No group immediately claimed responsibility for the blast.

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Arif Zarkon stated that among the wounded were a woman and two police officers.

Balochistan has been grappling with unrest for years, with militants targeting various facilities and government buildings in recent weeks. Despite government assertions of having subdued the insurgency, violence persists in the province.

Just the previous Saturday, an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion claimed the life of one individual and left 14 others wounded, including three soldiers.
