According to reports from The Courier, the young men lost their lives while hiking near the picturesque Linn of Tummel waterfall in Blair Atholl.

The incident occurred as they were attempting to take a photograph near the waterfall when they tragically fell into the water. Both Jitu and Chanhakya, aged 26 and 22 respectively, were pursuing Master's degrees in data science and engineering at Dundee University.

Authorities from Police Scotland responded to the scene after receiving a report of the two men in the water. Despite search efforts, their bodies were recovered from the water, and investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. However, there are no indications of any suspicious circumstances leading to their deaths.

Jitu, who had previously studied in the US, was described by his manager at Taza Indian Buffet in Dundee as calm, reliable, and hardworking.
