India launches a new generation Agni-Prime ballistic missile successfully in a test



India has successfully conducted the flight test of the new generation ballistic missile Agni-Prime from the APJ Abdul Kalam Island off the coast of Odisha. The test, conducted by the Strategic Forces Command and the DRDO on Wednesday evening, met all trial objectives, confirming its reliable performance.

The Ministry of Defence stated that the data captured by various range sensors, including two downrange ships positioned at the terminal point, validated the missile's performance. The launch was observed by Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Strategic Forces Command, and other senior officials from DRDO and the Army.

Following the successful test, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated DRDO, SFC, and the Armed Forces. He emphasized that the development and induction of Agni-Prime would serve as an excellent force multiplier for the Indian Armed Forces.
