The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has raised serious concerns regarding the health of Arvind Kejriwal, alleging a conspiracy against him while he is incarcerated in Tihar jail. Atishi, a minister from AAP, stated that there have been fluctuations in Kejriwal's blood sugar levels and accused Tihar Jail authorities of withholding insulin from him despite his medical needs.
Atishi highlighted Kejriwal's longstanding battle with diabetes, noting that he requires 54 units of insulin daily to manage his condition. She questioned the rationale behind denying a diabetic patient essential medication and raised suspicions about a deliberate attempt to harm Kejriwal's health.
The AAP minister condemned the alleged attempts to discredit Kejriwal's health condition, particularly mentioning claims by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) that Kejriwal was intentionally consuming high-sugar foods like mangoes and sweets. Atishi refuted these claims, asserting that Kejriwal's dietary choices are in line with his doctor's recommendations and are essential for managing his diabetes.
Furthermore, Atishi accused the ED and the BJP of spreading falsehoods to impede the delivery of homemade food to Kejriwal. She warned that halting the supply of Kejriwal's prescribed diet could pose serious risks to his health and questioned whether there was a larger conspiracy to endanger his life.
Kejriwal's arrest by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case has sparked controversy, with AAP alleging political vendetta and expressing concerns about his well-being while in custody.
