Lalu Yadav: BJP wants to destroy the Constitution and abolish reservation

Lalu Prasad Yadav, the leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), launched a scathing criticism against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing them of aiming to dismantle the Constitution crafted by Babasaheb Ambedkar. Speaking at an election rally in Saran, Bihar, Lalu asserted that the BJP's intentions are to undermine the democratic principles enshrined in the Constitution.

He further alleged that the BJP harbors intentions to abolish reservations for backward communities, portraying it as an assault on the rights of marginalized groups. Lalu emphasized the need for unity among these communities to thwart any attempts to curtail their entitlements.

Meanwhile, Lalu's daughter, Rohini Acharya, filed her nomination from the Saran Lok Sabha seat, with the support of her family members, including Lalu, Rabri Devi, Tejashwi Yadav, and Tej Pratap. Tejashwi Yadav, also present at the event, criticized the BJP, labeling it as the "Badka Jhuttha Party" (party of liars), and accused the NDA government of failing to fulfill its promises made during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

Expressing confidence in his sister's candidacy, Tejashwi Yadav predicted a sweeping victory for the 'Mahagathbandhan' (grand alliance) in Bihar, asserting that the BJP is poised to lose all seats in the state. He reiterated his belief that the election results in Bihar would favor Mahagathbandhan, emphasizing the lack of significant achievements by the NDA in Bihar over the past decade.

The Saran Lok Sabha constituency is scheduled to vote in the fifth phase of elections on May 20, as part of the staggered polling process spanning from April 19 to June 1 across Bihar's 40 Lok Sabha seats.
