The mother of the 23-year-old man who tragically took the life of the daughter of a Karnataka Congress corporator in Hubballi's BVB College campus has come forward to seek forgiveness on behalf of her son. In a heartfelt statement to the media, Mumtaz expressed deep remorse for her son Fayaz's actions, acknowledging that what he did was unequivocally "wrong."
Fayaz's violent attack on Neha, his former classmate, and a Masters of Computer Applications (MCA) student, was captured on CCTV footage, revealing the brutality of the incident. Following the assault, Fayaz fled the scene, leaving Neha with fatal stab wounds. The police subsequently apprehended the accused, who now faces the consequences of his actions under the law.
Mumtaz, visibly distressed, extended her heartfelt apologies to the people of Karnataka and specifically to Neha's parents, recognizing the immense grief they must be enduring. She emphasized that regardless of the circumstances, violence is never justified, and her son must be held accountable for his wrongdoing.
