MP Prajwal Revanna, in the center of a sex scandal, is expected to be expelled by JD(S): References

The Janata Dal (Secular) is expected to expel party MP Prajwal Revanna following allegations of sexual abuse against him, sources have revealed. The decision is likely to be made during a JD(S) core committee meeting scheduled in Hubballi, Karnataka, tomorrow at 10 am.

Prajwal Revanna, who contested from the Hassan Lok Sabha seat as part of the BJP-JD(S) alliance, has faced severe backlash after several videos allegedly showing him engaging in sexual abuse surfaced on social media. These explicit videos went viral just days before the Lok Sabha elections in Karnataka.

The 33-year-old Prajwal Revanna, son of former minister HD Revanna and grandson of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, has vehemently denied the allegations, claiming that the videos are doctored and circulated to defame him.

Karnataka JD(S) chief HD Kumaraswamy asserted that the party would not defend Prajwal Revanna if the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe proves the charges. He emphasized that the party would take strict action against anyone found guilty, emphasizing adherence to the law of the land.

The Congress-led Karnataka government has initiated an SIT investigation into the alleged sexual abuse cases, reflecting the seriousness of the allegations against Prajwal Revanna.
