Plot to discredit vendor; condoms and gutka discovered in samosas provided to Pune firm

A case has been filed after condoms, gutka, and stones were allegedly discovered in samosas supplied to a major automobile firm in Pimpri Chinchwad, Pune. The General Manager of the catering services company, responsible for supplying food to the automobile firm's canteen, lodged the complaint.

Five individuals have been charged in the case, including two workers from a subcontracting firm tasked with supplying the samosas and three partners from another firm previously removed for adulteration.

According to reports, the three partners allegedly planted the two workers to tarnish the reputation of the firm that had acquired the samosa contract.

The catering company, Catalyst Service Solutions Pvt Ltd, outsourced the samosa supply contract to a subcontracting firm named Manohar Enterprises. Employees of the automobile firm discovered the adulterated samosas on Saturday.

Upon investigation, it was found that two workers from Manohar Enterprises, identified as Firoz Shaikh and Vicky Shaikh, had inserted the items into the samosas. They claimed to be employees of SRA Enterprises and were instructed by its partners to adulterate the food.

A case has been registered under IPC Sections 328 (causing hurt through poison) and 120B (criminal conspiracy). One person has been arrested, and further investigation is ongoing.
