Defence Minister Rajnath Singh commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his pivotal role in orchestrating the safe evacuation of 22,500 stranded Indian students from Ukraine amidst the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Singh attributed Modi's success to his direct communication with leaders such as Russia's President Vladimir Putin, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and US President Joe Biden, which facilitated the students' return—an achievement unmatched by any other world leader.
Speaking at the launch of his Lok Sabha poll campaign in Ghaziabad, Singh also lauded Modi for elevating India's global stature since assuming office in 2014. He highlighted India's transformation into a formidable nation that commands attention on the international stage, a feat previously unattainable.
Singh underscored Modi's resolve to lift India out of poverty and position it as the world's largest economy by 2047. He cited statistics indicating significant progress in poverty reduction, challenging detractors to verify the data from institutions like NITI Aayog and international financial firms.
Additionally, Singh emphasized India's contributions to global health by providing COVID-19 vaccines worldwide, asserting that the 21st century belongs to India.
During his address, Singh criticized the opposition bloc, accusing some leaders of corruption and urging them to seek legal recourse if they believe they are unjustly targeted. He contrasted the BJP's governance, free of corruption allegations, with the alleged malfeasance of past governments.
Furthermore, Singh highlighted achievements such as India's burgeoning defense exports, the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, and the implementation of welfare schemes like Ayushman Bharat and housing initiatives that have enhanced the quality of life for citizens.
Addressing a rally in support of BJP's Lok Sabha candidate Atul Garg, Singh rallied support for the upcoming elections in Ghaziabad, emphasizing the BJP's commitment to good governance and progress.
