Rajnath Singh's scathing response to Beijing was, What if we rename some parts of China

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh responded strongly to China's recent actions of renaming several places in Arunachal Pradesh, stating that such actions will not alter the ground reality. He questioned China's motives by asking if India were to similarly rename areas in China, would that mean those areas become parts of Indian territory.

Speaking at a rally in Arunachal Pradesh's Namsai area, Rajnath Singh emphasized that India seeks to maintain good relations with all its neighbors. However, he warned that any attempts to undermine India's sovereignty and self-respect would be met with a firm response.

China's recent announcement of renaming 30 places along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh drew criticism from India. Rajnath Singh reiterated that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India, and attempts to alter its status will not succeed.

The Ministry of External Affairs had previously rejected China's claims on Arunachal Pradesh, reaffirming that the state has always been and will continue to be an integral part of India. Rajnath Singh's remarks underscore India's firm stance on territorial integrity and sovereignty in the face of such provocations.
