'See you outdoors soon,' reads Manish Sisodia's most recent letter from Tihar Jail

In a letter addressed to the people of his assembly constituency (Patparganj), former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who is currently incarcerated in Delhi's Tihar jail, expressed his optimism about soon walking out of jail.

Sisodia likened his imprisonment to the struggles faced by freedom fighters during the British colonial rule, emphasizing that like them, he too is fighting for the cause of good education and schools.

He highlighted the importance of quality education and schools for the development of the country, drawing parallels between the British dictatorship and the struggle for educational reform in Delhi.

Expressing gratitude to the people of his constituency for their support, Sisodia mentioned that he missed everyone during his time in jail and thanked them for taking care of his wife, Seema.

Sisodia was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on February 26 last year in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case. He is scheduled to appear in court for a bail hearing on April 6.

Several other senior leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, have also been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate and the CBI in connection with the alleged Delhi liquor policy scam. AAP MP Sanjay Singh, who was also arrested in the case, was released from Tihar jail six months after his arrest.
