Six people were detained on a Gujarati highway for blowing crackers on their birthdays

The celebration of a birthday on a highway in Gujarat's Junagadh led to the arrest of six individuals after a video of the event went viral on social media. The video depicted a group of young men recording their friend cutting a cake and setting off firecrackers while seated on the car's bonnet near Bhandari village, adjacent to the highway. This footage was subsequently shared on Instagram.

In response to the incident, the police have initiated legal action against the six individuals under sections 336 and 144 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). These sections pertain to endangering the life or personal safety of others and unlawful assembly, respectively. The authorities cited the potential danger posed by stopping the car on the highway and celebrating a birthday while sitting on its bonnet as the basis for their actions.

The investigation into the matter is ongoing as law enforcement officials work to address the incident and ensure public safety.
