The BJP and the National People’s Party (NPP) have announced their support for Naga People's Front (NPF) candidate Kachui Timothy Zimik for the II-Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Kachui Timothy Zimik officially launched his campaign for the polls, emphasizing the importance of peace and development in Manipur. He pledged to work towards creating a harmonious environment where all communities can coexist and prosper together.

Expressing his commitment to restoring peace in the state, Zimik emphasized the need for mutual respect and sincerity among communities to address the issues facing Manipur. He highlighted the importance of dialogue and cooperation among different communities to achieve peace and prosperity.

Zimik also stressed his vision for a vibrant Manipur with social justice and economic upliftment in both the hills and valleys of the state. He urged the people of the constituency, including supporters of NPF, BJP, and NPP, to cast their votes in his favor to bring about positive change and progress.

As a consensus candidate supported by the NDA alliance, comprising the NPF, BJP, and NPP, Zimik appealed to voters to elect him as their representative in the Lok Sabha. He emphasized the importance of their votes in ensuring his victory and promised to be their voice in the parliament.

The upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Manipur, scheduled in two phases on April 19 and April 26, come against the backdrop of ethnic violence that occurred in the state last year. The support extended by the BJP and NPP to Zimik reflects their collective efforts to address the challenges facing Manipur and work towards its development and prosperity.
