Taking aim at the PM, Arvind Kejriwal remarks, Whatever he's doing is not good for nation

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, while being escorted to the Rouse Avenue Court, took a veiled dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that the actions of the Prime Minister were "not good for the nation." Kejriwal's remarks come amid his ongoing legal battle related to the liquor policy case.

Kejriwal's custody with the Enforcement Directorate (ED) ended on April 1, following which he was produced before the court for further proceedings. The court subsequently extended his judicial custody by 15 days, citing the ED's allegations of his non-cooperation and evasive responses during interrogation.

The Delhi Chief Minister's arrest by the ED on March 21 and subsequent custody have been subjects of significant political controversy, especially in light of the mega rally organized by the Opposition INDIA bloc in Ramlila Maidan against his arrest.

The allegations against Kejriwal pertain to his purported involvement in a conspiracy related to formulating a liquor policy that allegedly favored specific individuals. The ED claims that during interrogation, Kejriwal implicated fellow AAP leaders Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj, stating that they were involved in the decision-making process regarding the policy.

The involvement of AAP leaders and the unfolding legal proceedings underscores the complexity and contentiousness of the case, which has implications not only for Kejriwal and his party but also for the broader political landscape in Delhi.
