RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav took a jibe at the BJP, humorously remarking that their much-touted "400 paar script" turned out to be a dud on the very first day of Lok Sabha polls. As Phase 1 of the elections concluded, Yadav confidently asserted that the Mahagathbandhan, or the Grand Alliance, would sweep all four Lok Sabha seats in Bihar.
In a press interaction, Yadav expressed assurance in the Mahagathbandhan's victory, stating, "Their (BJP's) '400-plus film' has turned out to be a super flop on the first day (phase) of polling. We (Mahagathbandhan) will win all four seats in Bihar that went to polls on April 19. We will also perform well in the coming phases." He further emphasized that the results from the first phase would be a wake-up call for the BJP, highlighting the electorate's disillusionment with the BJP's unfulfilled promises.
Mukesh Sahani, the leader of the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP), a constituent of the Grand Alliance in Bihar, echoed Yadav's sentiment, expressing confidence in the alliance's prospects not only in the constituencies that went to polls in the first phase but also in the upcoming phases. Sahani asserted, "We will win not only the four Lok Sabha seats that went to polls yesterday but also all the remaining 36 constituencies where voting will be held in the coming phases."
Bihar witnessed a voter turnout of 48.23 percent in the four seats—Jamui, Nawada, Gaya, and Aurangabad—that participated in the first phase of polling. With polling set to continue in subsequent phases across the state, the political landscape remains dynamic, with each party vying for electoral success in this crucial battleground.
