Anmol Bishnoi, sibling to incarcerated criminal Lawrence Bishnoi, has asserted accountability for the gunfire incident that occurred outside the residence of Bollywood luminary Salman Khan this past Sunday. Through a social media platform, Anmol depicted the event as merely a "preview". It's been reported that Anmol, who is evading authorities in India and purportedly seeking refuge in the United States, shared a post on social media warning the actor, describing the gunfire as a teaser to underscore the potency of their influence and advising him not to provoke them.Â
"We advocate for tranquility. However, if resorting to conflict is the only recourse against injustice, then so be it. Salman Khan, what you've witnessed is merely a glimpse of our might, intended to emphasize its enormity and deter any provocation. Consider this as your initial and ultimate cautionary message. There won't be another instance of gunfire merely outside your residence. Moreover, we have guard dogs named after infamous figures like Dawood Ibrahim and Chota Shakeel, whom you revere as deities. I typically refrain from verbose communication," the post purportedly conveyed.
This revelation surfaced following an incident where two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle fired four shots outside Salman Khan's residence at Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai's Bandra during the early hours of Sunday. Fortunately, no casualties were reported from the incident, which occurred around 4:51 am. Consequently, security measures surrounding the Bollywood star's residence have been heightened. The crime branch, local law enforcement, and forensic teams were dispatched to the scene to conduct further investigation and collect bullet casings from the incident.
According to sources familiar with the matter, the shooters involved in the gunfire outside Salman Khan's residence are believed to have ties to regions in Haryana and Rajasthan. There's speculation that the shooter may have been contracted by a faction associated with Rajasthan's infamous gangster Rohit Godara, who is linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Interpol has issued a notice regarding Rohit Godara. Subsequently, the Delhi Police has also intensified its efforts in response to the incident.
Both incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and wanted criminal Goldy Brar have previously issued death threats to Salman Khan on multiple occasions. Lawrence Bishnoi's syndicate was also responsible for the murder of Punjabi singer and rapper Sidhu Moose Wala.
Anmol Bishnoi, also known as Bhanu, is a fugitive accused in the murder case of Moose Wala. He managed to flee India using a counterfeit passport and was formally charged by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) last year. He has been constantly changing his whereabouts and was reportedly sighted in Kenya in 2023.
In March of the preceding year, Salman Khan received a death threat via email allegedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. After these threats, the Bollywood actor has been equipped with firearms by trained security personnel for his protection. Additionally, Salman Khan has been granted a personal weapon license, allowing him to carry a firearm for personal safety.
