The Congress releases its nominees for the Bengali seats of Bangaon, Uluberia, and Ghatal



The Congress party has announced its candidates for three more Lok Sabha constituencies in West Bengal on Sunday.

According to a statement released by the Congress, Pradip Biswas, Azahar Mollick, and Papiya Chakraborty will be contesting from Bangaon, Uluberia, and Ghatal Lok Sabha constituencies, respectively.

In addition to the Lok Sabha seats, the party has also named its candidate for the upcoming bypoll in the Bhagabangola assembly constituency in Murshidabad district. Anju Begum will be representing the Congress in the bypoll.

The fifth phase of voting on May 20 will witness elections in the Bangaon and Uluberia Lok Sabha seats, while the Ghatal constituency is scheduled for polling on May 25. On the other hand, the Bhagabangola assembly bypoll is set to take place on May 7.

With these latest announcements, the Congress has now finalized its candidates for a total of 13 Parliamentary seats in West Bengal.
