US declares it won't interfere after a report suggests that India role in killings in Pakistan

The United States responded to Pakistan's accusations against India, urging both sides to avoid escalation and seek a resolution through dialogue. The US State Department Spokesperson, Matthew Miller, stated that while they were aware of the media reports regarding the allegations made by Pakistan, they chose not to comment on the specifics of the situation. However, Miller emphasized the importance of de-escalating tensions and finding a peaceful resolution through diplomatic channels.

The response from the US came after Pakistani officials alleged that the Indian government was involved in assassinating individuals on Pakistani soil, as reported by The Guardian earlier this month. The report suggested that India's actions were part of a broader strategy to eliminate terrorists operating from foreign territory.

The allegations were further supported by claims from Canada, alleging Indian government involvement in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Surrey, Canada, in June 2023.

In response to these allegations, India's Ministry of External Affairs denied any involvement and dismissed them as "false and malicious anti-India propaganda." The ministry reiterated that targeted killings in other countries were not part of the Indian government's policy, echoing previous statements made by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.
