A case involving over twenty-one people is pending regarding the'stolen' dog of an Uttar Pradesh judge

In Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly, a civil judge's family has accused their neighbor, Dumpy Ahmed, of stealing their pet dog. The judge, currently posted in Hardoi, has his family residing in the Suncity colony of Bareilly. Following the complaint, police have registered a case against over two dozen individuals under the Animal Cruelty Act.

The situation escalated after a recent argument between the judge's family and Ahmed's family, as detailed in the FIR. On May 16, around 9:45 pm, Dumpy Ahmed's wife visited the judge’s residence, demanding to speak with them. She was reportedly angry because the family's dog had allegedly attacked her and her daughter, leading to a heated argument.

"Don't you know my daughter and I were attacked?" she reportedly shouted during the confrontation. The judge informed me about the incident, contacted the Bareilly Police from Lucknow to report the situation, and filed a complaint.

Area officer Anita Chauhan instructed the police to take legal action, prompting a search for the judge's dog. Meanwhile, Qadir Khan, Dumpy Ahmed's son, who also lives in the same colony, allegedly tried to intimidate the judge's family and threatened to kill them.

When media representatives tried to speak with the judge’s family about the incident, they declined to make any statements.
