A fight in the Maldives between Indians and locals resulted in two injuries and one arrest



A physical altercation between a group of Maldivian citizens and Indians occurred on Monday near Central Park in Hulhumale, located approximately 7 km northeast of Male, the capital city of the Maldives. According to local media reports on Tuesday, at least two individuals sustained injuries during the altercation, and one person, identified as a Maldivian, was detained by the police.

The identities or nationalities of those injured in the incident were not immediately disclosed by the authorities. Following the altercation, the injured individuals were taken to a local hospital in Hulhumale, where they received minor treatment before being discharged.

The cause of the altercation remained unclear, and the police stated that further investigations into the incident were ongoing.
