A gag order is placed on Eshwarappa's son's tapes being televised during the JD(S) MP scandal

KE Kantesh, the son of expelled BJP leader KS Eshwarappa, has secured a temporary stay order from a Bengaluru court against numerous media houses, restraining them from publishing or uploading any 'obscene' videos or similar content involving him. This legal move comes amidst the ongoing sex scandal implicating JD(S) MP and NDA's Lok Sabha candidate Prajwal Revanna, which has sparked tensions between the BJP and the Opposition.

Kantesh filed his plea in the Bangalore City court on April 27, seeking an injunction against 50 media entities, and the court granted him a temporary stay order on April 30.

The court order stated, "The plaintiff has temporary injunction, restraining the defendant, their agents, their henchman, or any person acting through, or claiming under them from telecasting or broadcasting or publishing any absence, photos, videos, screenshots, or obscene, audio pertaining to the plaintive in the respective Media."

In response to the stay order, KS Eshwarappa commented, "We know how to respond to such politics; hence we got a stay. That's all there is to this."

KS Eshwarappa was expelled from the BJP for six years last month after he chose to contest the ongoing Lok Sabha elections independently from Shivamogga, openly rebelling against the party's decision. He expressed dissatisfaction over his son, Kantesh, being denied a Lok Sabha ticket from the Haveri constituency, with former Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai being nominated instead.

Meanwhile, in the Prajwal Revanna case, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has issued a lookout notice against him following allegations that he fled to Germany on April 26. The notice has been issued at all immigration points globally, as multiple videos and photographs allegedly depicting his involvement in sexual misconduct with several women have circulated widely on social media.
