A Karnataka BJP official gives a probe team a pendrive filled with pornographic videos

Devaraje Gowda, a prominent Karnataka BJP leader, made headlines as he appeared before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the alleged sex scandal involving JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna. Gowda submitted a pendrive containing alleged obscene videos to the SIT, claiming they were evidence of Revanna's sexual misconduct.

During his appearance before the SIT, Gowda recorded his statements and disclosed that the pendrive was given to him by Karthik, who was Prajwal Revanna's former driver.

Earlier this year, Gowda purportedly sent a letter to Karnataka BJP president BY Vijayendra, urging the party leadership not to field Prajwal Revanna from the Hassan constituency in the upcoming elections. He warned of potential political repercussions, alleging that Congress leaders possessed a pendrive containing approximately 3,000 obscene videos implicating Prajwal.

However, BY Vijayendra refuted these claims, stating that he never received any such letter from Gowda, labeling the assertions as "patently false."

The alleged scandal erupted when explicit video clips surfaced in Hassan shortly before the polls on April 26, purportedly showing Prajwal Revanna engaged in acts of sexual abuse against multiple women. Amid the controversy, the JD(S) MP reportedly left the country for Germany.

In addition to the videos, accusations of sexual harassment and rape have been leveled against Prajwal Revanna by women, including one who worked in his household. Consequently, a case has been filed against him.

In response to the probe, Prajwal Revanna, through his advocate, communicated to the CID Bangalore, indicating his absence from Bangalore for the inquiry. He expressed confidence in the truth prevailing soon.
